A Place of Peace
About
Joshua Tailor desperately needs a break. Following the discharge after his eight years in the Army, he began working as a security specialist. Four years into that career, he sustained serious injuries while assisting on an FBI-led protection assignment involving a mother and young daughter. After weeks of hospital treatment and therapy, he returns home to his family's horse stables, knowing that working with the horses will bring him peace. His plans, as he continues to heal from his wounds, are to help his mother keep the business running after his father's death. And he wants to help his mother learn to live with the loss of her husband, while trying to find his way out of the guilt he felt for not being able to be there for either of them much as his father was dying, and for his being absent without explanation in the weeks afterwards. Then trouble from the last case he worked on followed him, and his sorely needed peace crumbled around him, leaving both his and his mother's future at the stables and farm in question.
